Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting plants, gardening supplies, outdoor equipment, and floral arrangements. Provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture practices, and plant identification to help customers achieve their outdoor goals. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations. Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves efficiently, and ensure the store remains clean and inviting. Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and assisting with product replenishment. Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person to answer questions about products or services. Assist in floral design projects or gardening demonstrations to enhance customer experience and engagement. Qualifications Previous outdoor work experience or knowledge of horticulture, lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly preferred. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math to ensure smooth transactions. Passion for plants, floral design, and outdoor environments with an eye for detail in plant identification and merchandising. Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or working outdoors in various weather conditions.
