Retail Dockworker

Job Overview As a Retail Dockworker, you’ll keep products moving safely and efficiently between receiving, storage, and store operations. You’ll load and unload shipments, support order picking, and use warehouse equipment to handle materials accurately. This hands-on role is a great fit for someone who values teamwork, careful work, and consistent attention to safety. Duties Load and unload deliveries; sort, stage, and move products for shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution. Pick orders using an order picker and radio frequency (RF) scanner; verify items and quantities with basic math. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment when trained and authorized. Track product movement and support inventory management through accurate scanning and documentation. Follow safety protocols, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, while performing manual handling and heavy lifting. Assemble furniture and test appliances for customers. Load vehicles for customers and help with local deliveries around town. Qualifications Warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, order picking, and materials handling are preferred. Ability to perform physical work, including manual handling and heavy lifting, while following safe lifting practices. Basic math skills and comfort using an RF scanner or learning inventory systems. Experience operating heavy equipment, including a forklift, pallet jack, order picker, crane, or clamp truck, is preferred; operate equipment only when trained and authorized. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus, but not required.
