Responsible Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview As a Responsible Dump Truck Driver, you’ll move materials safely and efficiently across construction sites and public roads. You’ll operate a commercial truck and support excavation, grading, and utility work while following equipment safety procedures and applicable safety regulations, including federal construction safety requirements. Your work helps crews keep projects moving and protects coworkers and the public. Responsibilities Operate a dump truck and other heavy equipment to transport and place materials for construction and grading work. Support excavation and construction utility work; use utility locating information to help avoid underground services. Operate loaders and, as needed, excavators and backhoes to support site activities. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report defects, and perform routine equipment maintenance. Follow safe driving practices, site procedures, and applicable federal construction safety regulations. Experience Commercial truck driving and commercial driving experience are important for this role; a valid license appropriate for the vehicle is required. Construction experience, including construction site experience, excavation, grading, or construction utility work, is preferred. Experience with heavy equipment operation, loader operation, excavators, or backhoe operation is an asset. Mechanical knowledge and construction machinery maintenance or equipment maintenance experience are helpful. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment, utility locating, equipment safety procedures, and safety regulations is preferred. Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
