Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Construction Manager to lead and oversee residential building projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management software. Experience Proven experience in residential construction management and strong understanding of construction processes and best practices. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with construction management software. Knowledge for site planning and layout is preferred. Experience in construction estimating and project budgeting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams, supervisors and subcontractors effectively. Excellent time management skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments. Duties Cost Estimation: Ability to calculate material quantities, forecast expenses, and manage budgets. Blueprint Reading: Skill in interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, and technical specs. Scheduling and Control: Competence in planning project timelines and tracking daily progress. Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of local building codes, safety rules, and OSHA or CCOHS standards. Contract Management: Experience with negotiating vendor terms and managing subcontractors. Technology: Proficiency with project software, microsoft and scheduling tools Communication: Clear reporting to Management. Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to resolve on-site delays and logistical issues. Team Management: Ability to supervise workers, delegate tasks, and settle disputes. Negotiation: Skill in handling pricing changes with suppliers and clients. Adaptability: Flexibility to handle unexpected weather or supply chain disruptions Education and Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Hands-on field experience of at least 5 years.
