Rental Car Runner/Fleet Assistant

Job Overview MRHETT Enterprises LLC is a growing rental car company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. We specialize in providing affordable and reliable vehicle rentals to gig economy workers, including Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, and other rideshare and delivery drivers. We are currently seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Rental Car Runner / Fleet Assistant. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with vehicles, has a flexible schedule, and can complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Transport vehicles between rental locations, maintenance facilities, dealerships, and other designated locations. Conduct pre-rental and post-rental vehicle inspections, including taking photos and documenting vehicle conditions. Drop off and pick up vehicles from mechanics, repair shops, and maintenance appointments. Assist with fueling, cleaning, and preparing vehicles for upcoming rentals. Perform basic fleet inventory checks and report vehicle locations and conditions. Complete errands such as picking up automotive parts, supplies, and other business-related items. Assist with vehicle deliveries, customer pickups, and returns when needed. Identify and report visible vehicle damage, warning lights, or mechanical concerns. Communicate with management regarding completed assignments and vehicle updates. Support additional day-to-day fleet operations as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must live in Charlotte, NC, or the surrounding area. Reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Comfortable driving different types of vehicles. Basic knowledge of vehicles and general automotive maintenance is a plus. Ability to use a smartphone for communication, photos, and documentation. Comfortable with light physical activity, including cleaning and preparing vehicles. Previous automotive or rental car experience is preferred but not required. Why Work With MRHETT Enterprises? Compensation & Schedule Pay: $12.00 per hour Job Type: Part-Time Expected Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week, based on operational needs.
