Renovation /restoration subcontractor

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Renovation / Restoration Subcontractor to lead and execute a variety of renovation and restoration projects. This role involves transforming spaces through precise craftsmanship, efficient project management, and a keen eye for detail. As a vital part of our team, you will bring expertise in multiple construction disciplines, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations and industry standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute renovation plans. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively to complete tasks such as demolition, framing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and concrete finishing. Perform restoration work including masonry, carpentry, cabinetry installation, painting, caulking, and electrical or plumbing upgrades. Measure spaces precisely for custom installations like cabinets or flooring, ensuring seamless integration with existing structures. Estimate project costs by assessing materials needed and labor requirements; collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates. Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and using proper protective equipment during all phases of work. Coordinate with team members and clients to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards throughout the process. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating techniques. Extensive experience with construction trades including carpentry, drywall installation, concrete forming, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, and painting. Skilled in the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators relevant to restoration projects. Strong knowledge of restoration processes for historic or damaged structures. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining precision in detailed work. Familiarity with construction codes and safety protocols to ensure compliance on all job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting onsite challenges.
