Relief Driver/Helper - Box Truck

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Relief Driver/Helper for our Box Truck operations. This position is part-time. In this role, you will either Drive or assist the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering goods while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Assist with loading and unloading cargo using manual handling techniques as a team with shoulder straps Load, secure, and unload goods efficiently while practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers using mobile devices to adhere to delivery schedules and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery receipts and logs Follow safety protocols at all times Skills Previous driving skills on a box truck preferred required. Clean MVR Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and customer service excellence Familiarity with strapping cargo, installing appliances, and moving heavy loads Strong understanding of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices in the workplace Excellent communication skills for assisting customers effectively Ability to handle physical tasks involving manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving materials efficiently The candidate must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
