Job Summary Join our dynamic logistics team as a Receiving/Shipping Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Duties Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries against purchase orders, verifying quantities, and ensuring proper documentation using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software like AS400 or similar platforms. Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately using inventory management software and order picking techniques. Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and stock management in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management tools. Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Assist in stock replenishment by stocking shelves, organizing warehouse space, and ensuring proper packaging for safe transportation. Support warehouse operations by performing routine audits, conducting quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment for optimal productivity. Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding shipping statuses, order discrepancies, or special handling instructions to ensure excellent customer service. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes is preferred. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRP systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but not mandatory. Strong skills in data entry, basic math calculations, and order fulfillment procedures are essential for accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and packaging requirements will support your success in this role. Experience with order picking & packing, load & unload procedures using pallet jacks or similar equipment will be advantageous.
