Inventory Parts Clerk

An established manufacturer in the container industry is seeking an experienced Maintenance Parts Technician at our facility in the Lebanon area. The Maintenance Parts Technician is responsible for ordering parts, identifying appropriate inventory levels of spare parts with the Superintendent as well as sourcing and shopping items that may be required for the repair and maintenance of facility equipment. The individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining vendor relationships with multiple suppliers. Responsibilities Orders, receives, stores and issues spare and replacement parts, equipment and expendable items used in repair for production or maintenance shop Takes inventory of parts and equipment and maintains inventory records for the plant Contacts vendors by email or phone to order parts May have to pick up incoming part(s) Schedule outside vendors for repair of equipment Research ways of saving money for spare parts Maintain a parts spending spread sheet Completing all tasks as assigned by the supervising manager Kitting of parts Qualifications A minimum educational level of high school graduate Experience with sourcing industrial maintenance parts Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics (Preferred) Ability to communicate with outside support vendors Experience computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.) SAP experience is preferred Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with vendors and managers, verbally and in writing. Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs as necessary. Reporting Relationships The Maintenance Parts Clerk will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
