​Job Summary ​ We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Ready-Mix Concrete Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for batching support, loading, transporting, and delivering ready-mix concrete to commercial, residential, and infrastructure job sites. You will serve as a primary point of contact on delivery sites, ensuring high-quality customer service, precise slump delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. ​Key Responsibilities ​Safe Delivery: Operate a commercial ready-mix concrete truck safely to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations and traffic laws. ​ Concrete Quality & Slump Control: Inspect concrete loads for proper slump, consistency, and mix specifications before leaving the plant and upon arrival at the delivery site. Add water or admixtures as required under customer/plant direction. ​ On-Site Operations: Safely maneuver vehicles on uneven terrain and tight construction sites. Assemble, attach, and clean discharge chutes to pour concrete into forms, pump hoppers, or wheelbarrows. Vehicle Maintenance & Care: Perform required Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections (DVIR). Keep the mixer drum, hopper, and exterior washed down to prevent concrete buildup. Report mechanical issues promptly. ​ Customer Service & Communication: Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, plant operators, site superintendents, and contractors. Secure signed delivery tickets or electronic receipts. ​ Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA, DOT, company, and site-specific safety rules, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. ​ Qualifications & Requirements ​Driver's License: Active Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record. (Tanker endorsement or Air Brakes endorsement may be required). ​Medical Certification: Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen). ​ Experience: 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred (Ready-mix, dump truck, or heavy vocational truck experience is a strong plus; entry-level drivers with strong CDL training are encouraged to apply). ​Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of heavy equipment operation, vehicle safety systems, and routine vehicle care. ​Flexibility: Willingness to work early morning start times, fluctuating end times, overtime, and occasional Saturdays depending on project schedules and weather conditions. ​ Physical Demands ​Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry chute sections weighing up to 50–75 lbs. ​Ability to climb ladders and platforms up to 10–12 feet to inspect loads and wash down the mixer hopper. ​Ability to sit for extended driving periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
