Purchasing Specialist Location: Douglasville, GA Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour, depending on experience Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and other items needed for daily operations, as well as assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments. Key Responsibilities Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment needed for company operations. Prepare, process, and track purchase orders. Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Monitor outstanding orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries. Assist with inventory tracking, organization, and maintaining accurate records. Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs. Research vendors and compare pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Resolve discrepancies involving orders, invoices, and deliveries. Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
