Purchasing Specialist

Location: Mason, MI Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday & Friday remote) Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, finance, or a related field? We're seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team and play a key role in supporting purchasing and procurement activities across the organization. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and aligned with business needs. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in procurement, supplier management, purchasing operations, contract administration, and SAP while supporting a dynamic manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to internal customers. What You'll Do As a Purchasing Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations have the materials, services, and supplies needed to succeed. Responsibilities include: Purchasing materials, supplies, services, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operating) items Creating and managing purchase orders Monitoring supplier performance, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines Working with vendors and internal stakeholders from request through delivery Tracking orders and resolving discrepancies Processing and reconciling invoices Supporting vendor setup and maintenance Managing warranty claims and returned products Reconciling purchasing card transactions Utilizing SAP and procurement systems to support purchasing decisions This role provides exposure to both procurement and finance-related processes, making it a great fit for candidates interested in supply chain, purchasing, accounting, or business operations.
