Purchasing Specialist

As our company continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in supporting our day-to-day operations and ensuring our technicians have the materials they need to get the job done. We are looking to fill this full-time position immediately. Duties & Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and other operational materials at competitive prices. Obtain and compare supplier quotes, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, vendors, and distributors. Coordinate and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time for scheduled jobs and projects. Monitor inventory levels, identify purchasing needs, and ensure essential supplies are readily available. Review, verify, and process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation accurately. Work closely with warehouse, dispatch, and service teams to coordinate material requirements and resolve supply or delivery issues. Identify opportunities to improve purchasing procedures, inventory management, and overall procurement processes. Requirements & Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or inventory coordination. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favourable purchasing terms. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, particularly when working with suppliers and vendors. Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or construction materials would be considered a strong asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders, pricing, and invoices. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
