Partner Industrial· General Summary o Administer, coordinate, and supervise Tool Room Purchasing activities. · Required Skills and Experience o Four-year technical or business degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of eight years material/equipment purchasing and expediting related to construction industry, including past purchasing experience. Knowledge of TED and Partner procurement/vendor inspection techniques and requirements, accounting, financial management, and business contract law required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. For anyone operating a Partner Industrial vehicle or piece of motorized machinery, a current and valid Driver’s License must be provided along with a road test to obtain a Partner Industrial Driving Certification · Exposure Warning and Working Conditions o Respiratory or skin exposure to fiberglass materials and particles, insulation particles, calcium silicate dust, acrylic bonding agents, asphalt and resin sealers, coal dust, concrete dust and various chemicals that are used or manufactured throughout the jobsite may occur. This includes, but is not limited to, other various hazards such as dust, splinters, airborne particles, sharp edges of wood or metal (aluminum, galvanized and stainless, possibly containing lead) and extreme weather and climates due to the nature of this job. · Essential Duties and Other Job Responsibilities o Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. o Review and issue all purchase requests and SAP orders. Obtain necessary approval(s), review and analyze all reimbursements, requisitions, and Eastman Chemical Company credit card purchases. Review all Tool/Equipment and supplies purchases to ensure accuracy and completeness. o Assist in managing Partner Tool Room inventory and ensuring proper stock levels. o Assist in scheduling, transport, and payment for Partner equipment service and/or repair. o Expedite, follow up, and ensure timely delivery of purchase order materials required by all departments. Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery. o Select products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Estimate value according to knowledge of market price. o Prepare and present major purchasing proposals to management. Establish inventory par levels through required reports to management; implement innovative ideas, improvements, and purchasing program after approval. o Interface with client and vendors to ensure all purchasing requirements, problems, etc. are addressed/resolved. o Manage cost saving initiatives. Review and analyze all purchasing documents. o Ensure all departmental procedures, policies, and work rules are complied with. o Assist in management and scheduling service of Partner Industrial vehicle fleet. o Assist in the Partner Cooler Room process as needed. o Act as backup for the Tool Room Manager during absences to lead employees and maintain processes. o Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction. o Must be able to comply with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment. o Regular reliable attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as needed.
