Hunt Electric CorporationJob Description Summary Baer Manufacturing has an opening for a Purchasing Assistant to support the operations for this growing division. The Purchasing Assistant will assist the Manufacturing Purchasing team in Hudson, WI and Georgetown, TX with vendor set up in an ERP, entering subcontracts, manage purchase orders, assist in correcting overbillings, and organize and manage data and documents. We're seeking a candidate who is highly organized and customer service focused (internal and external customers). Job Description: Role & Responsibilities Working in partnership with procurement team members and vendors, purchase materials and equipment for Baer Manufacturing projects. Enter purchase order information and generate PO to vendors via Remarcable. Ensure that the subcontracts process runs smoothly: generate subcontracts and subcontract change orders, create and track subcontract documents (COI’s, signed contracts, and lien waivers.) Create and manage vendor information in Spectrum (ERP) and Remarcable. Update and maintain procurement documentation: new vendor form, W9’s, COI’s, Disadvantaged Business Certificates, Tax Exempt Certificates, and departmental SOP’s. Import and export purchase orders from Remarcable to Spectrum systems. Support Buyers, Senior Buyers, and the Purchasing Managers with daily tasks and special projects. Assists Purchasing with material order tracking and expediting of shipments. Works in tandem with Accounts Payable to address accounting related issues. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas to develop and documenting best practices. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma/Equivalent and 1-3 years of experience supporting purchasing, inventory management, vendor relations, or related experience. College or Vocational Degree preferred. Knowledge of electrical industry, equipment, supplies and materials preferred. Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn specialized purchasing software and ERP systems. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to address and resolve minor problems and escalate complex problems to Buyers, Senior Buyers, or the Purchasing Manager. Adaptable to changing priorities and demonstrate a flexible and collaborative work style. Ability to analyze information and make decisions based on department and company objectives. Demonstrated success in working with immediate team members and other departments to build effective relationships. Physical Requirements This job operates in a professional office environment. This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines. This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets. Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
