Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Manager to lead our procurement and inventory control functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels, timely procurement, and seamless coordination across manufacturing and logistics teams. Your expertise will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and support our production schedules, enabling us to meet customer demands with precision and agility. Duties Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with production schedules, demand planning, and inventory management goals. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to secure quality materials at competitive prices. Utilize ERP systems to monitor inventory levels, process purchase orders, and track procurement activities. Oversee logistics and materials management to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support manufacturing operations. Coordinate cross-functional communication between procurement, production planning, warehouse teams, and quality assurance to optimize supply chain workflows. Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, inventory transactions, and supplier performance metrics using spreadsheets and inventory management systems. Lead efforts in lean manufacturing principles and demand planning to minimize waste, improve inventory control, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Experience Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing company environment. Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or equivalent inventory management software. Demonstrated expertise in logistics inventory management, materials management, and demand planning. Hands-on experience with inventory control systems, production scheduling tools like MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and warehouse operations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage supplier relationships confidently. Familiarity with contracts negotiation, lean manufacturing practices, and logistics coordination is highly desirable.
