Purchasing Analyst

This position provides an opportunity to develop strategic purchasing skills while supporting domestic and international suppliers, inventory planning, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: · Create, issue and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system. · Manage assigned vendors and ensure purchase orders are acknowledged with accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates. · Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with vendors regarding late or upcoming shipments. · Assist with purchasing for both domestic and international suppliers. · Review inventory levels, historical usage, forecasts, lead times and open orders to determine purchasing requirements. · Assist with planning international orders based on extended lead times, production schedules, and inventory needs. · Communicate potential shortages, delays, and supply concerns to Purchasing leadership and appropriate internal teams. · Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers. · Request and evaluate vendor quotations and assist with price and lead-time negotiations. · Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved lead times, and inventory optimization. · Work closely with Sales, Sourcing, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and other departments to support inventory requirements. · Follow established purchasing procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize processes. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. · 1-3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field. · Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (especially Excel), CRM and SRM systems · Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Supply Chain Management experience highly preferred. · Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
