Blundon's Trucking & Excavating Ltd.Blundon’s Trucking & Excavating Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchaser. · This will be a rotational shift with camp accommodations provided at valentine gold mine site · The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and results-oriented, with a strong understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management. They can negotiate effectively, manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies while controlling costs and supporting efficient business operations. Key Responsibilities · Source products, materials, and supplies to meet operational needs while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. · Request, review, and evaluate supplier quotations to compare pricing, product quality, delivery timelines, and overall value. · Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve favorable purchasing terms. · Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and vendors to support reliable and efficient procurement operations. · Prepare, process, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment. · Coordinate purchasing and material requirements with internal departments to support daily operations and business objectives. · Monitor inventory levels, identify replenishment needs, and help prevent stock shortages and excess inventory. · Track shipments, deliveries, and backorders, proactively addressing delays, discrepancies, and other supply-related issues. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, supplier databases, contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documentation. Qualifications · Minium of 3 years experience in heavy civil construction industry · Minium of 3 year purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. · Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills. · Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a high level of attention to detail. · Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, competing priorities, and deadlines effectively. · Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing procedures, and procurement documentation. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
