Old Dutch FoodsJob Description: Unload semi-trailer full of snack foods using a manual roller system that must be set up and taken down at each site. Most warehouses load through the main door not at docks. Cases are stacked to the ceiling of the trailer, which has an inside height of 11 feet 1 inch. Trailer holds a maximum of 1700 cases. Case and racking weights range from 4 lbs. to 45 lbs. Place cases onto roller conveyor and manually push the cases into the warehouse. The cases then must be taken off the conveyor and stacked neatly. You will be lifting continuously from all heights. The number of cases you will need to lift overhead will depend on your height and the case size. You will be required to unload a minimum of 215 cases per hour by hand. Physically demanding. The schedule will primarily be Monday mornings, however, this may vary based on the truck arrival time; must be available when the truck arrives at the warehouse. Major Job Duties: 1) Unload cases of snack foods from a semi-trailer and place in warehouse in an organized manner. 2) Follow directions as given. 3) Check orders as you unload for accuracy. 4) Keep work area clear of debris. 6) Follow company rules and policies. Job Qualifications: Communicate with others to maintain safety and quality of product. Past experience in a warehouse or manual material handling setting a plus. Work well with others. Essential Job Functions: 1) Work at a steady pace. 2) Count, solve simple math, read product names and box codes. 3) Grab cases with hands continuously. 4) Reach out with hand and arms continuously and at shoulder level or overhead frequently. 5) Work in small or tight work areas. 6) Lift /Push/Pull cases continuously 16 to 60 lbs. 7) Twist or turn while lifting or carrying. 8) Work in outside elements during unloading. 9) Continue working to get the job done until it is completed. 10) Dependable attendance 11) Stand and walk. 12) Safely be able to get in and out of the trailer numerous times.
