The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor. The Project Selection Coordinator provides professional planning and coordination for the agency’s transportation project selection policy and process. This position is responsible for implementing, assessing, and improving the project selection policy and process, including: Serving as the agency expert on the project selection policy, Leading the development of new updates or legislative change proposals to the policy, Developing and preparing legislative reports, and Facilitating engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment. Minimum Qualifications Two years of advanced professional planning experience that demonstrates the following: Experience developing and/or implementing policies, plans, programs, or processes. Experience leading and/or facilitating internal and external groups and meetings. Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI or similar software. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, Political Science substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Professional planning or policy experience working in government at the local, metropolitan, or state level.
