Job Description Department: Localization Job Title: Project / Process Manager Summary: The Project / Process Manager – is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and localization projects for components and subassemblies. This role coordinates cross-functional activities between Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure components are sourced competitively, delivered on time, and meet all technical, commercial, and quality requirements. The Project Manager drives supplier development, cost reduction initiatives, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and localization strategies to support business growth and supply chain resilience. Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following: Identify project needs such as resources, staff, or finances by reviewing project objectives and schedules. Schedule or facilitate project meetings. (Kick-Off meetings) Lead component sourcing and localization projects from concept through production implementation. Monitor costs incurred by project staff to identify budget issues. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. Plan and implement plant wide projects per management and supplier requirements. Develop and maintain a schedule for assigned projects. Provide status reports on project milestones and recovery plans as required. Assign tasks or responsibilities across the project team. Monitor the performance of project team members to provide performance feedback. Lend technical expertise to the Sourcing Group for the review and selection of new suppliers for the localized production of any new component parts required when a production line is transferred. This includes: Review of supplier capabilities If needed, on-site surveys of new suppliers Manage and participate in CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) and LEAN projects as required. Lead localization and dual-sourcing initiatives to reduce cost and improve supply security. Analyze total landed cost, tariffs, logistics expenses, and manufacturing impacts. Use of the following software programs when performing duties of this position: SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Project Management Software Smart Sheet Perform all other duties as assigned. Recommended Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Preferred Degrees: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or another technical discipline. Project Management Certification is strongly preferred.
