Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Management Assistant for Engineering and Construction to join our team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support project managers in coordinating complex engineering and construction projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring project efficiency, maintaining documentation accuracy, and facilitating communication across teams. Your contributions will help drive successful project outcomes while gaining valuable industry experience. Responsibilities Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines using construction management software. Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution. Coordinate procurement activities by assisting with construction estimating and sourcing materials through tools. Maintain detailed records of project documentation, including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports. Support site visits by preparing reports, documenting site conditions, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Help manage project schedules by updating timelines and tracking milestones using civil engineering tools. Facilitate communication between stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project flow. Skills Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Proficiency in construction management software. Experience with construction estimating processes and civil engineering concepts. Knowledge of heavy civil projects, structural systems, and construction management principles. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Familiarity with construction safety standards and site documentation procedures. Effective communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
