Project Assistant
3FMWhy 3FM? 3FM is a signage manufacturing, installation, and design company serving commercial, industrial, and construction clients across the country. We manage complex signage programs from planning and design through fabrication, coordination, installation, and closeout. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant to support our Project Management team. This role is a strong fit for someone who is interested in construction, project coordination, or account management and wants hands-on experience working on active projects with real responsibility. Project Assistants work closely with Project Managers, clients, installers, vendors, designers, and production teams to help keep projects organized, documented, and moving forward. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of active signage projects Prepare pricing and project information based on client needs, drawings, and project requirements Source and coordinate out-of-state installers and subcontractors as needed Coordinate manufacturing, delivery, and installation schedules with internal teams and field partners Review construction plans and project documents to identify signage-related information and requirements Maintain accurate project records, status updates, and tracking information in internal systems Organize signage, project documentation, and installation information in preparation for field work Communicate regularly with clients, installers, vendors, and internal production teams Assist with submittals, shop drawings, revisions, and project documentation Track open items, approvals, deadlines, and installation readiness Support project closeout, punch-list, and documentation activities Assist with general administrative needs of the Project Management department Skills and Qualifications Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines Comfortable working independently while supporting a larger project team Strong follow-through and commitment to accurate record keeping Comfortable learning construction terminology, drawings, and project documentation Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and similar business software Comfortable learning project-management and construction-related software Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions and learn Ideal Candidates Will Also Possess Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field Previous experience in project coordination, account management, construction, signage, or a related field Experience reading construction drawings or specifications Familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe Illustrator, Revit, or similar design/construction tools Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, or field-service teams Prior industry experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is organized, dependable, curious, and capable of learning quickly. Strong performers may have opportunities to take on greater project ownership and advance into Project Manager or other higher-responsibility roles within 3FM.
