Duties and Responsibilities: Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Develop daily material schedules and production plans for company orders to meet customer commitment dates. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, material, equipment, and labor estimates involved in assigned products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes. Provide preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed itemized estimates based on final plans and specifications. Revises estimates as requested. May specialize according to particular service performed, type of product manufactured, or phase of work involved, such as tool and fixture costs, production costs, construction costs, or material costs. Coordinate efficient movement of materials with purchasing and production personnel. Review and plan requirements for internal plant work orders. (WIP and subassemblies) Build and update necessary “Bills of Material” and “Routings” as required in conjunction with CSR and Corporate Accounting. Utilize MRP system as needed, maintain integrity of system and monitor reports such as “Shop Floor” and “Close / Complete”. Work with Sales and Customer Service to implement customer order changes into proper production schedules. Distribute hard copies of daily schedules to appropriate plant personnel. Participate in daily plant production meetings and other plant and company meetings as required. Assist Plant General Manager with any other duties or responsibilities as required. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree preferred 3-5 years of experience in a planning function in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is preferred Customer service oriented to both internal and external customers/employees Must have strong work ethic Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Expertise in PC skills including Word and Excel; required.
