Motor Control Specialties (MCS) is a UL 508A Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing Facility. We are currently searching for a Production Material Handler for our panel shop. This is a union position with IBEW Local 1 and provides an entry point into the electrical trades. Job Title: Production Material Handler Job Description We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Material Handler to help keep our production team supplied and ready to work. Your primary responsibility will be pulling inventory and assembling complete kits of parts for production jobs using pick lists generated by our Epicor system. You will also stock incoming inventory, keep materials organized and rotated, and support daily warehouse and production needs. As a secondary responsibility, you may assist with other material handling functions, including receiving, shipping, and defective material processing. This is an active, hands-on role that requires accuracy, organization, and a commitment to safe work practices. Key Responsibilities Pick, count, and kit parts according to Epicor pick lists, ensuring the correct items and quantities are staged for each production job. Identify and communicate missing parts, inventory discrepancies, or other issues that could delay production. Stock incoming inventory in designated locations and continually rotate and organize materials. Operate wire-cutting machines to cut and bundle wires for production jobs. Deliver additional parts and materials to the production floor as needed. Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and walk-behind forklifts to move and store materials. Assist with receiving, shipping, and defective material processing as needed, following established procedures. Maintain clean, orderly warehouse areas, storage locations, and staging spaces. Coordinate with production and warehouse team members as priorities change. Qualifications Strong attention to detail when identifying, counting, and handling parts. Ability to read and follow pick lists and work instructions. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities. Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform active warehouse work, including standing, walking, bending, and moving materials. Previous warehouse, inventory, order-picking, or production support experience preferred. Forklift experience and familiarity with Epicor or a similar inventory system are helpful.
