Production Manager (ERW and Steel Pipe Exp Req)

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager with a strong background in Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) and steel pipe manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will lead the production operations to ensure efficient, high-quality output while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety, excellence, and innovation across the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing manufacturing processes, utilizing ERP systems like SAP, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to optimize productivity and quality standards. Responsibilities Oversee daily production activities for ERW and steel pipe manufacturing, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards. Develop and implement production schedules using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP modules to meet customer demands efficiently. Lead process improvement initiatives employing Six Sigma methodologies and lean management practices to enhance operational efficiency. Manage production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize throughput while minimizing waste. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing management systems, supply chain analytics, and quality control to identify areas for enhancement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain management, quality assurance, maintenance, and engineering to streamline operations. Drive continuous improvement projects through data analysis using Excel and other tools to optimize processes and reduce costs. Lead team development efforts by providing coaching on lean manufacturing principles, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. Skills Proven experience in production management within ERW steel pipe manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems, MRP modules, and manufacturing management software. Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and lean management. Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel for production data insights and decision-making. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and facilitate cross-functional communication. Deep understanding of supply chain management, supply chain analytics, and operations management principles. Ability to manage production scheduling effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control. Familiarity with plant management practices including safety protocols, assembly processes, and continuous improvement strategies.
