Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California. We are currently seeking a Production Manager located in our Mineral Wells, WV manufacturing plant reporting directly to Senior Production Management. This individual will be responsible for all production activities ensuring targets for safety, quality, cost, service, and employee morale are achieved. About the Role: The Production Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and meet quality standards. This position requires managing production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and leading a team to meet operational goals while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The Production Manager is responsible for resource allocation, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. They act as a key liaison between production staff, supply chain, and management to align production activities with business objectives. Ultimately, the role ensures that production targets are met without compromising quality, safety, or employee engagement. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant field or MBA. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and company goals. Supervise and lead production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to ensure smooth production flow. Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production area. Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to optimize production efficiency. Troubleshoot production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Prepare and present regular reports on production performance to senior management. Skills: The Production Manager utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to motivate teams and coordinate cross-functional activities effectively. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting production data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Technical proficiency with production management software and ERP systems supports accurate scheduling, inventory control, and reporting. Problem-solving skills are critical for quickly addressing production challenges and minimizing downtime. Additionally, knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards ensures that all production activities comply with legal and company requirements, fostering a safe and high-quality manufacturing environment.
