Production Control Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS Have or be able to obtain a valid forklift license Be able to lift 40 pounds frequently, occasionally up to 55 pounds. Able to add, subtract and multiply using whole numbers Have solid administrative skills, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and maintain written records according to established practices Have or be able to obtain the ability to utilize a computer to research and retrieve data Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision RESPONSIBILITIES: Loads, unloads and move materials from production floor and storage areas by transporting them to valid locations, verifying quantity and preparing proper transactional data. Ensures the proper execution of the following responsibilities: Counts, weighs, and record number of units of material moved or handled on a daily move log. Read work orders, information packets, and follow oral instructions to ascertain material containers to be moved. Understand and follow all safety rules and always use approved safety equipment. Routinely cycle and count products and reconcile to computerize inventory. Removal of scrap material by disposing of parts into appropriate containers and completing all appropriate paperwork. Load truck trailers in a safe manner and maximize the efficiency of available space in each load. Conduct all aspects of the dock safety checklist and dock safety procedures with each incoming and/or outgoing truck load. Other duties as assigned. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
