Production Control Manager

Responsibilities: Owns the planning side of the business: production scheduling, capacity planning, and production control. Directs the Production Control team to align capacity, materials, and technical readiness with customer demand. Ensures the production plan reflects true process capability and constraints, giving the facility complete control of the planning function. Partners with Operations — which executes the plan — to protect on-time delivery and throughput Generate/monitor work orders based on sales order due dates, production lead times, and capacity. Monitor work in process to ensure orders remain on schedule Generate/monitor production orders and schedule the Slitter unit for efficient production runs Apply inventory to orders in a manner that limits additional remnant inventory, utilizes aging inventory, and maximizes inventory turns. Works cooperatively with Supply Chain to achieve the collective goals of attaining 90% on-time delivery performance, managing the board directives for inventory levels, and meeting or exceeding customer and industry-mandated quality products. Works cooperatively with the Production team to understand and communicate plant goals and objectives, acting as a liaison between the production floor and the sales desk. Coordinate with Sales/Customer Service on order promising, expedite, lead times, and delivery commitments. Required Education and Experience: Must be comfortable learning legacy terminal systems Demonstrates an aptitude for data analysis with high proficiency in Excel and Access preferred Requires collaborative and team-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to operate in a complex, matrixed environment. Requires strong leadership and partnership skills. PowerBI Report is strongly preferred. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Digital literacy and systems knowledge required. Bachelor's or 5+ years of Production Control (or comparable) experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
