As a Production Capacity Coordinator , you'll be at the center of our operation, helping ensure that our production teams have the people, materials, schedules, and resources they need to deliver exceptional products to our customers. You'll work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Leadership to balance customer expectations, production capacity, staffing needs, and inventory requirements. What You'll Do Create and manage production schedules to support on-time customer deliveries and efficient plant operations. Coordinate short- and long-term production capacity planning to align resources with business needs. Monitor production schedules and make adjustments when priorities, staffing, materials, or customer requirements change. Ensure production teams have the tools, materials, and information needed to complete work successfully. Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to optimize workflow and production performance. Review production orders to verify accuracy and readiness before manufacturing begins. Participate in daily production meetings and monthly planning sessions to support operational goals. Develop and maintain employee work schedules, allocating staffing resources to meet production demands. Manage schedule updates and assist with shift coverage needs, including vacations, call-ins, and leaves of absence. Support workforce scheduling activities within HRIS systems, including reviewing time-off requests according to company guidelines. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts while maintaining effective communication with employees and leaders. Monitor key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and material usage. Investigate inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions and process improvements. Assist with purchasing production supplies and consumables from approved vendors. Support continuous improvement efforts that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operational performance. Document and maintain scheduling and planning processes while promoting positive change throughout the organization. What We're Looking For Associate degree in Business, Operations, Management, Communications, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop solutions. Ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt to changing business needs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Comfortable working independently while contributing to team success. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based computer systems and the ability to learn new software and processes quickly. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Positive, flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
