Our categories span flashlights and work lights, security and landscape lighting, string lights, shop lights, and hardwired home lighting. We're a lean, fast-moving team where the work you do shows up on shelves nationwide. The Role We're looking for a Product Development Coordinator to keep our product programs organized, on schedule, and moving from first concept through retail launch and beyond. You'll be the connective tissue between our internal product development team, our overseas manufacturing partners, and the retail programs we're building — owning documentation, competitive analysis, early design risk review, sample tracking, and project schedules. This is a great fit for someone who is deeply organized, curious about how products are built and used, and comfortable holding a lot of moving pieces at once. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to be the kind of person who notices when a spec doesn't match the sample, when a manual won't make sense to a shopper, or when a timeline has quietly slipped. What You'll Do Documentation & Project Organization Own document control for all active and archived product projects, maintaining a clear, consistent file structure the whole team can rely on Request and track updated documentation from suppliers — specifications, drawings, test reports, certifications and packaging files — and follow through until everything is received and filed Build and maintain project schedules so the team always has an accurate view of where each program stands Competitive & Market Analysis Purchase competitive products in the categories we're pursuing at Costco, Walmart, Lowe's and The Home Depot Perform hands-on comparison analysis covering features, performance, build quality, packaging, price point and overall value, and present clear findings to the team Concept Review & Early Risk Assessment Gather concept information for new programs, including CAD files and internal product specifications Conduct early FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify potential issues before tooling and sampling Perform initial consumer interface reviews — controls, charging, mounting, installation and overall ease of use Review instruction manuals and packaging copy for clarity, accuracy and usability Evaluate every new concept against real-world consumer usage scenarios and flag design or usability concerns early Factory Coordination (Asia) Run weekly calls with overseas manufacturing partners covering quality, product timelines and open issues Track testing and compliance status against safety certifications and retailer-specific requirements Manage end-to-end sample tracking, from request through shipment, receipt and evaluation Launch Tracking & Consumer Feedback Track every project from ideation through launch and post-launch Monitor consumer feedback — online reviews, returns data and retailer input — and summarize insights for the product development team to drive improvements on current and future products What We're Looking For Required 2+ years in product development, product coordination, sourcing, quality, supply chain, project coordination or a related role — consumer products preferred Exceptional organizational skills and genuine attention to detail; you naturally build systems to keep information straight Strong written and verbal communication, including comfort leading calls with overseas partners Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, and general comfort with project tracking tools Ability to juggle multiple projects at different stages without losing track of any of them Willingness to work occasional early-morning or evening hours to align with Asia time zones Preferred Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners, particularly…
