Procurement & Warehouse Assistant
Carrio Cabling CorporationWe are seeking a motivated and adaptable Procurement & Warehouse Assistant to provide entry-level support across our procurement, inventory, and shipping/receiving departments. In this hands-on, cross-functional role, you will assist leads in every area of supply chain management—from creating purchase orders and counting inventory to packing shipments and receiving incoming stock. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain broad experience and build a career in operations and supply chain. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Assistant Assist with entering, routing, and tracking purchase orders (POs) for raw materials and supplies in the ERP system. Help follow up with vendors on order status, expected delivery dates, and minor pricing or quantity questions. Support inventory monitoring by flagging low-stock items to team leads before stockouts occur. Help gather documents, vendor quotes, and order receipts to support purchasing records. Inventory Control Assistant Conduct routine cycle counts alongside inventory leads to verify physical stock against system records. Assist in labeling, organizing, and maintaining proper product rotation in the warehouse. Help investigate inventory discrepancies by double-checking shelf locations and counting physical items. Participate in physical count activities during bi-annual and annual inventory audits. Shipping & Receiving Assistant Help receive incoming shipments by unloading goods, counting boxes, and checking items against packing slips. Assist with packing, taping, labeling, and staging outgoing orders under senior logistics staff direction. Print pre-generated carrier labels and gather basic shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists). Maintain clean, safe working areas in the shipping dock and assist with manual unloading or operating pallet jacks. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 1–2 years of entry-level experience in a warehouse, retail, or administrative support role (internships or relevant coursework count). Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (MS Office/Excel); willingness to learn inventory software (ERP/WMS platforms). Core Abilities: High attention to detail, reliability, willingness to take direction across multiple team leads, and strong foundational math skills. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand/walk for extended periods, and work actively on the warehouse floor. Preferred Qualifications Prior exposure to a warehouse, retail stockroom, or shipping environment. Basic familiarity with material handling equipment (pallet jacks) or willingness to obtain forklift certification. High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics is a plus.
