Procurement Specialist

We are a large scale industrial electrical contractor with projects located across the United States. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized and proactive individual to join our procurement/logistics team as a Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of electrical materials, equipment, tools, and services required to support industrial electrical construction projects. This position works closely with project managers, estimators, field supervisors, warehouse personnel, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed while maintaining competitive pricing, quality, and compliance with project requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in construction procurement, electrical materials, industrial projects, or a related field and understands the importance of accurate purchasing, lead-time management, and strong vendor relationships. This position typically works 8 hours per day/5 hours per week in our Whitesboro office. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Procure electrical materials, tools, and services in accordance with project specifications, budgets, schedules and company procedures Review material takeoffs to determine purchasing needs Obtain and compare quotes from vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, availability, lead time and reliability Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure orders accurately reflect quantities, specifications, pricing, delivery requirements, and project information Partner with Project Managers, Estimating Team, Superintendents and the Warehouse Team to fulfill purchasing requirements Maintain accurate records within ProcureDesk Follow specified escalation process when orders are not “received” timely Provide metrics/analytics and present during weekly office meetings to facilitate identification of training needs, process changes, etc. Assist procurement staff with material orders Qualifications 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience preferred Knowledge of electrical materials preferred Strong understanding of purchasing process Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook High level of follow-through Strong attention to detail Proactive approach to customer service Work Environment In-office work required Fast-paced construction environment Interaction with internal office staff, superintendents, and project managers Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, vision and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Reds Electrical Service Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
