Procurement Specialist 1, 2 or 3 Location: Columbus Central Services - Columbus, MT Schedule: 5X2, 4X3 9hr Shifts Job Responsibilities and Duties: At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for purchasing goods and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures. The Procurement Specialist's primary duties are: Foster an inclusive environment for all employees that promotes teamwork, innovation, and actively seeks feedback from the workforce for continuous maintenance improvements. Communicate and support area goals and initiatives to work groups within the Company. Promote and maintain a safe work environment, safe work practices, and a strong safety culture. Ensures compliance with all related laws and regulations. Collecting and communicating accurate information in a timely manner. May be asked to help with training peers. Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history. Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts. Develops vendor relationships. Analyses and evaluates supplier performance. Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders. Purchases goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures. Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels. Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred. Exposure to warehousing or purchasing experience preferred. Sibanye-Stillwater is an equal opportunity employer.
