Procurement Principal, Supplier Risk & Performance
Prime Data CentersAbout Prime Data Centers Prime Data Centers develops, acquires, and operates data centers for some of the world's largest enterprises. A private firm owned by a group controlling $6 billion in assets, with a 15-year tenure in technology and real estate development, Prime provides customers with ownership options and dynamic leasing models, defining a true corporate partnership. About the role Prime Data Centers is seeking a Principal, Supplier Risk & Performance to own the end-to-end visibility, tracking, and resolution of risk — and the measurement of supplier performance — across our Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) procurement portfolio. This is a senior individual contributor role, built as a program-management function rather than a category- or region-owning role: you will not personally own quality, schedule, or vendor relationships in any single area, but you are accountable for making sure risk across all of those areas is identified early, tracked consistently, driven to resolution, and reported accurately at every level of the company — and that supplier performance is measured objectively and reviewed on a regular cadence. You will operate at the center of Prime's OFCI ecosystem — sitting between Regional Procurement Managers executing in the field, Global Category Management, Procurement Transformation & Governance, Construction/Design/QAQC, our vendor base, and the General Contractor/Electrical Contractor/Mechanical Contractor (GC/EC/MC) teams on-site. Your scope covers every active data center project in the portfolio, from PO execution through project closeout and turnover to Critical Operations. This is a brand-new role and a foundational piece of how Prime scales risk management discipline across a rapidly growing OFCI program. What you'll do OFCI Risk Identification, Tracking & Resolution Serve as the central point of accountability for identifying, tracking, and driving resolution of risk across all active OFCI projects — with schedule/delivery risk as the primary focus and vendor performance risk as a close secondary focus. Maintain a consolidated, portfolio-wide view of OFCI risk from PO execution through project closeout and turnover to Critical Operations, catching issues before they become critical-path problems. Partner with the QAQC team on quality/spec risk and incorporate their findings into the broader risk picture, without duplicating their detailed ownership of that domain. Take direct action to mitigate identified risks, and escalate high-risk or high-exposure items to the appropriate leaders when additional authority or buy-in is required. Governance, Reporting & Systems Own the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of OFCI risk reporting across the procurement function, with weekly reporting cadences at every level — team, leadership, and executive. Partner with Procurement Transformation & Governance to move OFCI risk reporting into Sigma/Snowflake, building the analytics and dashboarding infrastructure that doesn't exist today. Build out Prime's OFCI risk management framework and taxonomy (risk categories, rating methodology, escalation thresholds) from high-level direction provided by the SVP, Global Procurement, translating it into a usable, repeatable operating model. Cross-Functional Program Coordination Work daily with Regional Procurement Managers to surface field-level risk and ensure it's captured, tracked, and addressed. Partner with Global Category Management on vendor-related risk, informing sourcing and category strategy where recurring risk patterns emerge. Coordinate with Construction, Design, and QAQC colleagues to align risk tracking with the broader project delivery picture. Engage with GC/EC/MC/Cx teams on-site representing OFCI risk status and driving resolution of open items. Vendor & Commercial Risk Management Set direction on lower-risk vendor issues; while following risk escalation process for more consequential risks to…
