Procurement Manager- Tech About the Opportunity A rapidly growing AI technology company is seeking a Procurement Manager to build and lead procurement operations during a period of significant growth and scale. This is a highly visible role for a commercially minded professional who can develop procurement strategy, establish processes from the ground up, and drive value across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, optimizing spend, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview The Procurement Manager will own the end-to-end procurement life cycle, including strategic sourcing, vendor selection, contract negotiations, supplier management, and spend optimization. This individual will work closely with Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT, HR, and executive leadership to create scalable procurement processes and ensure the organization receives maximum value from key vendor partnerships. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement activities from sourcing and vendor evaluation through contracting, renewals, and supplier management. Develop and execute sourcing strategies across software, technology, infrastructure, and indirect spend categories. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, service agreements, and commercial arrangements with vendors. Identify opportunities for cost savings, vendor consolidation, and process improvements. Establish procurement policies, workflows, governance practices, and approval processes. Partner with Finance and Legal to support budgeting, contract management, and vendor risk assessments. Track organizational spend and improve visibility into procurement metrics and costs. Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers. Leverage automation and emerging technologies to improve procurement efficiency and scalability. Help build a best-in-class procurement function capable of supporting continued organizational growth. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or related functions. Proven experience leading vendor negotiations and contract management initiatives. Experience managing significant spend portfolios Background within a technology, SaaS, software, or other high-growth business environment. Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging spend data to drive decisions. Demonstrated success building procurement processes, systems, or functions from scratch. Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and evolving environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience partnering with Finance, Legal, Engineering, IT, HR, and business leaders. Preferred Experience SaaS, software licensing, cloud, or technology procurement. Startup or high-growth company experience. Procurement transformation, process improvement, or procurement automation initiatives. Supplier relationship management and strategic vendor governance.
