Procurement Analyst 2

I. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies by performing the following duties. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items and estimates values according to knowledge of market price. Conducts activities associated with the procurement of raw materials with environmental review personnel to ensure that purchasing decisions are in compliance with environmental regulations. Maintains procurement records and expedites delivery of goods to users. Other duties as assigned. III. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS: Prior purchasing or buyer experience preferred. IV. POST-HIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Environmental training applicable to the job Safety training for applicable equipment Job instructional training ISO 9001 familiarization ISO 14001 awareness, objectives and targets, office significant environmental impacts V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. VI.
