To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifies and evaluates vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers for recommendation to the Procurement Manager or others for use on projects. Communicates and enforces procurement policies and procedures to the district and project teams. Collects and maintains procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables. Maintains the records of goods ordered and received; supports Accounts Payable reconciliation. Helps in the creation and negotiation of contracts under the supervision and guidance of a procurement manager. Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan. Facilitates RFPs and collaborates with preconstruction team on new opportunities and current projects. Perform additional assignments per management’s direction. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or Construction Management preferred. 1+ year related construction experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Able to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions. Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Working in a open cubical workstation or office, subject to office noise Required to work in office environment Travel to projects as needed Visits to project sites involve exposure to outside weather elements Ability to sit and talk or hear Ability to frequently stand and walk Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, based on project requirements.
