Processing Material Handler III -2nd Shift -Stand Up Forklift

Summary of Position The Processing Material Handler III is responsible for obtaining product for processing, also requires operating a stand-up and/or sit-down forklift and completing work order reporting as needed. Functions of the Position Drives a stand-up and/or sit-down forklift to move products and supplies to and from production lines. May perform Material Handler I duties when not driving, depending on production needs. Creates pallet ID labels and completes verifications for all materials and products brought to the lines prior to use. Completes work order reporting as needed. Performs daily PIT equipment checks to ensure safety. Ensures accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment. Assists other material handlers and scanners as needed and helps train MH I, II, and III employees on line duties. Assists machine operators and supervisors in other areas or lines, including packing, stacking, and other line tasks. Participates in daily cleaning activities to maintain a clean work area. Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities Qualifications Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Forklift license or certification for stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts. Level III power equipment license (JBSS) required. Skills and Competencies Ability to speak, read, and write English preferred. Basic math skills required. Good manual dexterity and vision. Ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
