Print Production Specialist

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member who wants more than just a job. The right person will take pride in producing work that supports local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations throughout the Richmond area. This position will begin with hands-on production responsibilities, with the opportunity to grow into quoting, inventory management, purchasing, mailing support, customer communication, and production coordination. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Operate printers, cutters, folders, booklet-making equipment, heat presses, and other production tools. Complete printing, cutting, folding, binding, finishing, apparel decoration, packaging, and fulfillment. Review work orders carefully before beginning production. Compare completed jobs directly with the work order and perform a final quality check before release. Keep work orders with jobs throughout the production process. Follow established file-handling, production, and job wrap-up procedures. Maintain clean equipment and an organized production environment. Return paper, materials, and supplies to their designated locations. Monitor inventory and communicate when supplies are running low. Package completed jobs and prepare them for pickup or delivery. Assist with mail preparation, fulfillment, and community events. Communicate questions or concerns early so projects continue moving. Help take photos and videos of completed projects, behind-the-scenes production, and community events for social media. Assist with organizing social media content and sharing ideas that showcase our work, customers, team, and community involvement. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY GROW TO INCLUDE Preparing basic and repeat quotes. Creating complete work orders. Ordering commonly used paper and supplies. Managing routine outsourced production orders. Assisting with mailing quotes and customer mailing conversations. Communicating directly with customers and vendors. Monitoring inventory levels. Helping coordinate the production schedule. Training future production team members. Suggesting improvements that increase quality, efficiency, organization, or profitability. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work at the beginning of each scheduled shift. Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work. Enjoys working with their hands and learning equipment. Follows written processes consistently. Keeps workspaces, equipment, and materials clean and organized. Asks questions early rather than making assumptions. Takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done next. Works with urgency while still protecting quality. Is comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and teammates. Is willing to pick up the phone when a conversation will resolve a question more efficiently. Enjoys contributing ideas and helping a growing company improve. Is comfortable taking basic photos and videos for social media. Wants to do meaningful work that helps businesses and community organizations succeed. Print-production experience is helpful but not required.
