For our client, we are seeking a Principal, Data Center Supply Chain Lead to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will own multi-year sourcing and category strategy for data center construction and equipment, with a strong emphasis on long-lead infrastructure procurement. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across the procurement and construction lifecycle to drive disciplined execution, manage vendor and contractor negotiations, and support critical infrastructure delivery. The position also plays a key role in supplier performance management, compliance, and cost reduction initiatives across complex projects. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Own multi-year sourcing and category strategy for data center construction and equipment Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the procurement and construction lifecycle Manage procurement of long-lead data center infrastructure equipment Lead contracting strategies and negotiations with key contractors and vendors Drive compliance and set procurement standards across construction projects Identify long-term cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives for realization Oversee supplier performance management and ensure data governance is up to date Qualifications 10+ years of supply chain experience, or 8+ years with a Master's degree Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field Proven track record in developing multi-year category strategies for high-spend areas Recognized as a lead negotiator with hands-on contract negotiation experience Experience implementing process and policy standards to mitigate business risks 3+ years of informal leadership experience driving cross-functional consensus Skilled in data analysis and risk modeling in supply chain contexts Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and under tight timelines Benefits Flexible work environment with a designated work-from-home day Opportunity to drive impact on critical infrastructure projects Collaboration with top industry professionals Growth potential within a leading high-tech company Involvement in innovative supply chain practices and category management efforts Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
