Job Summary: As a Premium Road/Training Service Technician, you’ll work with assigned customers in performing diagnostics, assessments, maintenance, and repairs of industrial equipment at their locations with the intention of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position will also require the technician to fill other roles directly affecting the training and skills development of new hire and current technicians. There will also be a component to act as an advocate for branch and personnel safety concerns to help promote a culture and working environment of safety consciousness and practices. Job Responsibilities: Provide industry leading customer satisfaction. Communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees. Diagnose repairs for lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products, using a laptop computer, experience, manuals, and other industry sources. Assess the need for additional repairs or maintenance and communicate findings and potential solutions with supervisor and customer. Perform repairs on lift trucks, equipment, and other identified products as communicated by the supervisor and customer. Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work. Perform warranty repairs and complete related documents as instructed by the company and the supervisor. Keep supervisor advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc. Thoroughly and neatly document information related to the job and your work. Submit documentation in a timely manner, as required by the company, supervisor, and customers. Accurately account for drive and labor hours on daily timecard and submit daily. Accurately account for all parts, supplies, and van inventory on work order tickets, PM sheets, etc. Provide the parts, service, and sales departments the needed information to provide the right solutions for the job. Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, van, customer facilities, and shop. Keep the service van clean, neat, and well-maintained at all times. Maintain company tools in working order and return them to the shop after use. Keep up to date with new equipment and advances in diagnostic techniques and repairs. Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules. Assist with training, orientating and mentorship of newly hired technicians. If needed, consult with and assist manager with identifying technician development needs and opportunities during orientation. Provide direct or online technical assistance to branch technicians. Provide branch technicians with assistance or guidance locating information or resources needed to make repairs. Work with other technicians to identify safety issues in the branch or related to a specific assignment and consult with manager to find solutions.
