Powder Coating Technician

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable, high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. Duties Prepare metal components for coating by cleaning, masking, and inspecting surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths, airless paint sprayers, and curing ovens to apply coatings evenly and efficiently Set up and adjust spray guns, conveyor systems, and curing ovens to meet specific project requirements Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment while maintaining proper handling procedures Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery and tools to ensure continuous operation and safety compliance Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish consistency Document production data, including batch numbers, coating specifications, and inspection results for traceability Skills Proficiency with forklift operation and materials handling techniques Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes Experience with industrial painting, auto body repair, or auto painting techniques Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during setup and quality checks Warehouse experience with materials management and inventory control Join us as a Powder Coating Technician to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to producing high-quality coated products.
