Summit PlumbingJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a Porta Potty Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that combines skilled driving with essential service delivery. In this position, you will operate specialized trucks to transport portable sanitation units to various job sites, events, and construction locations. Your expertise in truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure our clients receive reliable service. Responsibilities Safely operate trucks with trailers equipped for transporting portable toilets and related sanitation equipment across designated routes, including over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securement of units during transit in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to reach delivery locations on time while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety. Deliver portable sanitation units to various sites, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials (Hazmat) handling procedures when applicable. Conduct routine inspections of the truck, trailer, and cargo before and after trips to maintain safety standards and vehicle compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with logistics protocols. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transportation. Experience Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Prior experience with delivery driving on route schedules, is a plus. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations is essential for compliance. Strong skills in GPS navigation, route planning, and logistics cargo handling are highly valued. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; endorsements for Hazmat are not mandatory.
