Falcons Landscaping & Snow Removal provides landscaping, snow and ice management for condominium and commercial properties in Mississauga and the surrounding GTA. We are hiring a diesel mechanic who can also plow for the 2026-27 snow season. Between storms, you keep our fleet running. When it snows, you run a plow and salt route. For the right candidate looking for year-round work, there is an opportunity to stay on through the summer maintaining our landscaping equipment and working with our landscaping team. Our fleet Winter: 4x4 pickup trucks with plows and rear salters, F Series mowers with plows, front end loaders, AG farm tractors, heavy dump trucks, gas powered snow blowers Summer: 4x4 pickup trucks and trailers, skid steers, Kubota zero turns, F Series ride-on mowers, rototillers, push mowers, line trimmers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers What you’ll do Mechanical Service, maintain and repair our full fleet, from diesel trucks and loaders to small gas powered equipment Diagnose and repair diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical problems, including cold-start and emissions (DEF/DPF) issues Respond to breakdowns during snow events and get equipment back on its route Mount plows and set up salters before the season, and prep equipment for storage after it Move vehicles and equipment between job sites and pick up parts as needed Keep the shop area clean and safe Plowing and salting Operate a company pickup with a plow and salter to plow, salt and de-ice parking lots, drive lanes and access areas at condominium and commercial sites Complete your assigned route according to site maps and service standards, with correct salt application and no property damage Load the truck with salt and refill on-site salt bins Perform pre-shift and post-shift truck and equipment inspections, fuel up and report any issues Complete required documentation and time records Hand shovel and de-ice small areas when needed Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE What you need Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems Proven commercial snow plowing experience with a pickup truck and salter Full Ontario G licence with a clean driver’s abstract Available on call 24/7 from November to April, including nights, weekends and holidays Reliable transportation to the yard at any hour Confident driving and backing in tight lots at night and in poor visibility Able to lift 50 lb salt bags and work long shifts in winter conditions Smartphone for dispatch communication Assets AZ or DZ licence 310T, 310S or 421A certificate of qualification Pay $28 to $34 per hour based on experience Weekly standby pay, discussed at the interview Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour Work Location: In person
