Planning Technologist
PS Seasoning & SpicesPosition Summary: The technology partner to the supply chain team. Makes the planning systems work the way supply chain needs them to and builds the forecasting and analytics that let the team plan better. This position will report to the VP of Technology, and work with the supply chain leadership for day-to-day priorities. Works in close partnership with the senior data analyst. Deacom MRP, purchasing, inventory and forecasting modules; planning reports and exception queues; the planning and forecasting analytics built on top of them. Primary Responsibilities: Work with the supply chain team to confirm planning parameters are set correctly: lead times, order days, safety days, QC lead, min and max levels, reorder logic. Supply chain owns the values; this role makes sure the system carries them accurately and flags where they look wrong Partner with the senior data analyst to build improved forecasting and analytics models that help supply chain operate more efficiently Translate supply chain requirements into Deacom configuration, reports and exception views Monitor the data feeding MRP and surface gaps to the supply chain team before they turn into shortages Support the planning and purchasing centers of excellence as their systems and analytics partner Maintain BOM and routing accuracy standards jointly with operations and R&D Model the planning impact of network changes, including the Richfield to West Bend transition Cross training with at least one other person on the team, so no system has a single keeper Availability for occasional after-hour work during releases and plant events, under a rotation still to be defined Travel between Iron Ridge, Main Street, Hartford, Richfield and eventually West Bend as the role requires Skills and Qualifications: Experience in planning technologies, supply chain planning, or related planning functions Strong ERP systems expertise with deep functional knowledge and business process understanding Background in supply chain, planning, or business analysis with close partnership to planning teams Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools, including Power BI Experience with forecasting, demand planning, and planning models preferred Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations Highly collaborative approach with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on enabling and partnering with supply chain teams Demonstrated success driving outcomes through influence, teamwork, and cross-functional engagement rather than independent execution alone
