Job Summary L&B Spumoni Gardens is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pizza Ingredient Buyer to manage ingredient purchasing and help maintain a consistent supply of fresh, high-quality products. This role involves sourcing ingredients, comparing supplier prices, preparing purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries to support daily restaurant operations. Common Job Roles Pizza Ingredient Purchasing Supplier Communication Food Product Sourcing Purchase Order Management Inventory Monitoring Vendor Relationship Support Key Responsibilities Purchase pizza ingredients, including flour, cheese, tomatoes, sauces, meats, and vegetables. Identify and communicate with reliable food suppliers and distributors. Compare product quality, pricing, and supplier terms. Prepare and process purchase orders according to restaurant requirements. Monitor ingredient inventory and anticipate future purchasing needs. Coordinate delivery schedules and follow up on outstanding orders. Inspect received products for quality, freshness, and accuracy. Maintain purchasing records, invoices, and supplier information. Work with kitchen management to understand ingredient requirements. Help control purchasing costs while maintaining product standards. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in food purchasing, procurement, or restaurant operations is an advantage. Knowledge of common pizza ingredients and food products. Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets. Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines. Careful attention to product quality and purchasing details.
