Picker/Packer Helper

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer Helper to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities Assist with picking and packing customer orders using barcode scanning technology and order picker equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely and effectively. Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), conducting stock counts, updating records, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing packages, labeling shipments correctly, and verifying order details against shipping documents. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Participate in quality control checks to verify product condition and order completeness before dispatching or storage. Experience Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued. Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking, packing, inventory management systems (such as RF scanners), barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving processes. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a strong plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to manual handling, heavy lifting, PPE use, and warehouse safety standards. Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, or calculating weights are beneficial.
