Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team at Nutmeg Pharmacy for weekends/part-time. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate medication management, and providing exceptional patient service. Your expertise will support the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant pharmaceutical care across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities Prepare, dispense, and label medications accurately following prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Assist in medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration date monitoring Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems with precision to ensure accurate record-keeping Support sterile IV compounding and aseptic techniques for infusion therapies under supervision Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulations, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, processing prescriptions, and maintaining confidentiality Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication administration and patient care plans Qualifications Prior experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably within LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, IV infusion procedures, and sterile compounding techniques Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and pharmacy laws Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments requiring acute care experience or critical care background is advantageous Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 14.0 – 20.0 per week Benefits: Health insurance Opportunities for advancement Work Location: In person
