PHARMACY TECHNICIAN FOR OPERATING ROOM & CRITICAL CARE Location: Burnet Campus, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati OH 45229 PRN or As Needed -- great schedule for someone in school! Pay Expectancy : $21.50-$24.62 + shift and weekend differential What you’ll do (what your day really looks like) You’ll rotate through key areas of the pharmacy, working closely with pharmacists and clinical teams to: Prepare and distribute medications accurately and efficiently Support medication delivery for patient-specific doses across units Replenish automated dispensing cabinets and maintain inventory Compound sterile and non-sterile medications Collaborate with pharmacists and care teams to ensure quality and safety This is hands-on, detail-driven work where accuracy, teamwork, and urgency matter. How to qualify for this job: Have at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience Pharmacy technician certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months) High school diploma or equivalent A detail-oriented, team-first mindset How to Stand Out as a Candidate: Highlight experience working as a pharmacy technician After applying, you may receive a short questionnaire—timely completion is encouraged JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment. Compounding - Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications. Phone Triage - Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage. Medical Claims - Performs insurance adjudication. Inventory Management - Performs medication storage inspections. Interact with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems as necessary. JOB QUALIFICIATIONS High school diploma or equivalent Active registration with the OH Board of Pharmacy Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified within 18 months of hire.
